In this workshop, you'll learn about the history of birth in a cultural context and the impact of racism on the birth experience. You'll learn how to create a space of cultural humility with birthing families while discussing the physiological processes of birth and learning practical hands-on strategies and tools to help families have satisfying and empowering birth experiences. We'll also provide and tips & resources to build your business as a birth professional!

Day 3 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
*Supplemental work may be required. *Training manual & lunch included.
This workshop satisfies three of the educational components to becoming a DONA-certified doula:
* Birth Doula Workshop
* Intro to Childbirth for Doulas
* Intro to Breastfeeding for Doulas
... plus 6 months of mentorship to help you on your way. Mentoring includes monthly virtual group co-working sessions to get you moving towards certification faster & direct access to the facilitator for questions and brainstorming.
